Rate: 4
Based on the article "Computers and Language Learning: an Overview" by Mark Barschauer and Deborah Healey.
As a future teachers is important to learn diferents kind of methods that will be useful for us when we develop a class.
This article mention an important tool that we used nowadays. It talks about the computer and the impact in the language learning. The article said that the use of a computer in a language learning could facilitate the hability of fingertips and also learning to read, write and communicate through a computer.
The use of a computer in a learning language process can be divide in behaviouristic CALL, communicative CALL and integrative CALL. The behaviouristic CALL is a stage in which the computer is use as a tutor and based on the article the best plataform is "Plato", because it has a system that use extensive drills, translations and grammatical explanations.
In the communicative CALL stage said that this only use pre-fabricate language and does not allow students to express their ideas. The integrative CALL use the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and also the use of teachnology to facilitate the learning process.
In the future, CALL will take an important part in the language learning; and also, I think that the programs for language learning will evolve in order to help all people depending of their necessities. This programs will be like been in a real class, instead of just teach only words and phrases in a hypotetical context.
In conclusion, the technology in the process of lamguage learning is an important tool that as a teacher could use to improve your class and makes it more interactive and meaningful.

I agree with your log, Beatriz. What I liked the most is that we must be somehow universal when it comes about being diverse in order to apply and learn new methodologies and techniques.
