Based on the articles: "The employment of CALL in Teaching Second/Foreign Language Speaking Skills" byJulia Gong, and "Using Original Video and Sound Effects to Teach English" by Shahla Yassaei.
Communicate is one of the principal things that humans has to develop, because in this way we transmit all our knowledge or whatever that we want to share with others. There are many ways to communicate, but today, we are going to focus on speaking. When you are learning a second language, you has to develop your speaking skill. And teachers need to know different ways to make that their students communicate what they learn.
In the past, teachers used a traditional way to make their students speak; they used the method of repetition. They believe that in this way their students will learn. But the problem with the repetition is that students only said the phrases that they learned, this method was a little mechanic. Nowadays, we have a lot of resources to make a meaningful learning. One of this resources is the used of computers, in which we can surf on the internet and found a lot of programs, websites, etc, that can help us to improve our speaking skill.
On these websites we can found some forums, in which we can make video chats with native english speakers, or videos that will help us to improve our language. Also, we can look for apps that teach us the correct pronunciation of words. Another useful tool is videos, we can look for some visual sources that help us to build our own learning process.
Some things that I like of the article by Shahla Yassaei was the use of videos in class and some activities that was mention. First, I think that the use of videos or only audios in class is a meaningful way to teach. Actually, I prefer videos because I am a visual learner. But I really love the idea of hear the story, close your eyes and imagine everything that you heard; I think that is a wonderful idea to put in practice with your students. Another activity that I liked was the "freeze framing" because its a good idea to motivate your students to talk, they can give their opinion and also you can use it to practice grammar like the future for example.
The first article mention some advantages and disadvantages when we develop our speaking skill through a computer. Some advantages that can be highlighter: the computer environment motivates and gives a confident place to the student to take risk and try over and over, the computer has the hability to give a feedback once they finish the lesson and with this they noticed what their mistakes are and correct them, computers offers them an interaction with native speakers and students can improve their vocabulary and fluently with this. A disadvantage that can be highlighted for me is that computers will never substitute the human to human contact, it is true that you can improve you vocabulary but a machine will never have a natural language or a real interaction with the users.
In conclusion, I think that the use of CALL in the learning process of speaking skills facilitates studen's learning. They can improve it by chatting with someone or looking some videos that may show them different scenaries from life.

I agree. Technology has been developing for a long while and it is still developing. Thus, we as teachers must use those technology improvements and use them to improve our students learning process. For example, Aula digital is useful for teachers as they can assign us homework, also, CD Players can be useful to improve our listening skill, or even better than that, we just look for something similar on the internet to improve not only listening but any other skill that we need. We can use internet and a lot of other resources to help our students improve.
