Week 4: Internet in Classroom

The use of multiple tools to teach a second language is essential when we are teachers. And the use of internet it becomes a principal tool nowadays. In the last years, most of the people have the capacity to acces to internet. And as a teachers, we can use that to help them to improve their learning.

How can we do that? Well, in the internet, we can find a lot of resources that will help our students to develop their 4 principal skills. We can look for some task, or videos that will facilitate their learning and it will become our class more interactive.

Also, we can use that to give them some activities that they can develop in their home; such as podcast, videos or books that will increase their vocabulary. Then, we can used what they learned to share with their classmates.


With the use of the internet in class we can give students some activities or games to know how much they learn and give them a reinforcement if they need it. Remember that internet cold be a tutor for them that will be at every hour for them. And also, with the use of the internet they can communicate with others people. And found all kind of activities depending of what kind of learners they are.

We have a powerfull tool to learn and teach a second language. Pitifully, most of the time we do not take advantage of that. We should take more time looking for new ways to learn and in our case to teach better with the use of the internet.

    Hello Sandra! I agree with you, nowadays the internet is a tool for teachers that they can use it for increase the abilities of their students. The resources that internet has are excellent to prectice and learn. And it is true that students can use the internet for communication with other people. As you said, we have to take advantage of the internet as estudents or teachers, it is good for everybody.
